Gwinnett County Parks #1!

DSCN0602

Did you know that?  I keep seeing it on a couple of Parks’ signs that are near me in Lilburn.  Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation named #1 in the USA. But it hadn’t really sunk into me…

So I decided to check it out.  I had NO clue of the level of commitment that Gwinnett had to its parks.  There are so many more facilities than the ones I was aware of… and having lived in several parts of Gwinnett in my 20 years here, I have been aware of a lot of the parks.

I just got an email from the production company that does House Hunters for HGTV.  They are calling for buyers that are ready to buy.  The specific quote is “in the late stages of buying.”  I would assume that would mean that they are looking for people that know what they want and will be ready to make an offer in just a few outings to view property.

There is a compensation package for the buyers, $1000 for those they select to follow.  And I think it might also be a lot of fun.

If you are a buyer, not currently working with an agent, and you think you will be buying in the next month or two, give me a call and let’s see if we can get on HGTV’s House Hunters.

Metro-Atlanta One of the Best Places to Buy

Condo For Sale in SuwaneeForbes Magazine and the Atlanta Business Chronicle recent articles listed the Atlanta metro area as #13 of the top 25 US cities to buy a home in today’s economy.  The research and articles confirm that Atlanta’s growth, opportunities and available housing provide buyers with great investment options.

The research focused on the average price per square foot, frequency of real-estate transactions and distribution of sales-activity throughout numerous large metropolitan cities.  Some relative stability or improving stability in the housing market combined with the lower home prices has been attracting more buyers in many areas including Atlanta. Multiple offers are becoming common places for some of the distressed homes (short-sales and foreclosures) on the market and this is helping to reduce inventory.

If you have money to invest or the ability to obtain financing, then real estate is readily available as an excellent investment for the future.  The wide variety of incentive programs for tax credit and buyer assistance make this market even more attractive and the metro-Atlanta area has proven to be a good location.

Listing Options… Just so you know.

DSCN3105

The other day, I posted about how some companies are adding junk fees to the traditional sales fees for both buyers and sellers.  I think this practice is just plain wrong… especially the way it is usually presented.

In order to give my clients options and help them save some money, I offer three different fee structures and two different levels of service for home sellers.  Here is the quick rundown
