Chamber of Commerce day here in Lilburn

I just needed to rub it in a little if you aren’t here in Lilburn, GA.  This is perfect weather.

The temp is in the low to mid 70s.  There are puffy clouds lazily floating by…  The humidity is under control. Even the pollen is only moderate (ok, it is high by national standards, but not bad for the Atlanta area).

I’ve been out running errands and getting work done around Lilburn all morning.  It is enough to make me want to take a sawzall and cut the roof off of my truck… or at least finish building my Jeep.

If you are here in Lilburn or the Atlanta area… good for you.  Enjoy it.  If you are someplace else… we have room for you here.  And we are hitting the best season of the year here in the Atlanta area… the spring bloom.

The azeleas are getting ready to come out.  My pear tree is already blooming.  Buds are out all over the place.  In a couple of weeks, the landscape will explode with color.  And everyones’ cars will turn yellow with pine pollen… but that is another story.

Enjoy.

As many of you have heard, the tax credit is available for first-time home buyers but what does that really mean?

Well here are some of the highlights which I think you will find very interesting. This information is also available at www.Federalhousingtaxcredit.com/2009.faq.php

1. Who is eligible for the tax credit? First time home buyers purchasing any kind of new home, both new and resale after January 1, 2009 – December 1, 2009.

2. What is the definition of a first time home buyer? A buyer who has not owned a principle residence during the three year period prior to the purchase.

Housing Starts Rise – More Signs of a Rebound?

Housing starts in January took a larger than expected jump and is good news to the national housing market.

Are we out of the woods yet? No, proably not entirely, but Gwinnett County Ga has seen a large increase in pending sales as well as level inventory leads me to think that the market is starting to turn.

Where is the bottom? Not sure, but all the experts say repeatedly that the bottom happens without anyone really knowing it. If we are at the bottom, then now is the time to buy.

Here is a article about Housing Starts from MSNBC:
